Flip Animation Challenge Shorts Now Online

Story image As many will know first hand, last weekend was the 6th Flip Animation Festival, and this year featured an ambitious array of workshops and fringe events to accompany the usual screenings and talks.

Animation Forum WM was there to help run the launch event in Birmingham on the Thursday and support various other activities throughout the rest of festival.

One of these events was the Thursday workshop Scriptwriting for Animation, led by Myles McLeod, which produced a dozen scripts, two of which were speedily animated during the festival as part of The Flip Animation Challenge, and screened on the Saturday night.

So, in case you couldn't make it, here are the shorts in all their glory. First up, Blinkx made by The Brothers McLeod and based on a script by Matthew Duddington:

Next was John Hill-Daniel's Dead White, which was animated by Bart Heinen and edited by Koen Koopmans:
