New Film Night in Leamington Spa?
21/04/2008
A Warwickshire Art Gallery is looking to create a programme of film nights and desperately wants to hear from animators interested in being involved.
Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum is looking to hear from animators who might be interested in screening anything from short films to motion graphic design, VJ work to video art on Thursday evenings 6.30pm – 7.30pm.
"The aim would be to screen up to three pieces of work at each event," says Tammy Woodrow of the Gallery & Museum, who is co-ordinating the project. "There would also be the chance for the makers to discuss their work with the audience."
This programme would provide a platform for recent film and video work and aims to support new and emerging practitioners as well as more established artists. There would be no charge for the use of the Art Gallery & Museum's facilities."
But before this tantalising programme can launch, the gallery first needs to hear from animators and filmmakers who might be interested in showcasing their work, and being involved in the project.
