Local Animator Wins Watch Film Award

Okay, slightly old news, but last week's Shooting People Watch Film winner was none other than West Midlands-based animator Joe Butcher.
Tom Cruise: Back in Action, is a hilarious, Flash, viral parodying the ardent Scientologist. The neat little short, features Tom Cruise (for it is he), wearing a colander on his head ("to block alien rays") and, 'Doing what he does best, making a maximum amount of noise, while making a minimum amount of sense.'
The video was selected by Shooting People's film critic Jane LeGros, who raved, "I've never laughed so much in my life. The animation is perfect and the voices (all done by Joe) are pretty good. This has the makings of being a hit viral video, in my opinion."
Joe won a subscription to Little White Lies magazine for his troubles. Check out the vid here and have a giggle:
