Ad's on Walls - Animation Forum WM Event!

23/07/2008

Story imageThe next highly anticipated Animation Forum WM event, Ad's on Walls, takes place this August, giving animators the chance to schmooze, screen and shout about their animated commercial work with fellow peers over an after-work drink. Why stop there? If you're tired of your animated work going unnoticed, e-mail david.luke.allen@bcu.ac.uk ASAP to screen something at Ad's on Walls…

Monday, 11th August 2008 (6.30pm start)
Concrete Bar (Old Boiler Room) @ The Big Peg, The Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham, B18 6NF

Like Shorts on Walls, but with all your finest commercial work instead! Animators each get 5 minutes or so to introduce a few examples of their animated commercial work in a relaxed bar setting.

Animators each get 5 minutes or so to screen and – if they're not too shy, introduce, a few examples of their animated commercial work over an after-work pint at Concrete Bar @ The Big Peg, The Jewellery Quarter (6.30pm).

Whether or not you actually animate commercially at the moment, Ad's on Walls is a great chance for animators to meet and network after work with other freelancers, studios and professionals over a mid-week beverage.

Many Forum members often don't realise how many animation studios and companies there are dotted around the region, and part of the 'big idea' behind Ad's on Walls, is to introduce animators to what's actually going on, on their doorstep.

Entry is FREE, and to confirm your place simply RSVP to: david.luke.allen@bcu.ac.uk or call me on 0121 204 9886.

Please also get in touch if you'd like to screen your animation at the event. Submissions should be on DVD and do not have to extremely recent, just an example of what kind of work you get up to!

Where is Concrete Bar? It's underneath The Big Peg, has its own car park, and is about 40 minutes walk from New Street train station, and can be found here:
