Blitz Games Studios has opened registration for its Student Open Days in 2012.

Students who want a career in gaming or animation can attend the open days to get a glimpse of the gaming world and ask developers for hints and tips.

Blitz run the open days every year to encourage students to enter the world of games development. The open days will offer an insight into the range of skills and talents involved in creating games.

Students from all courses are welcome to register. It’s not only those taking gaming courses, but graduates from Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science and others are all used to create games in the industry.

The open days have always been popular with those that have been lucky enough to attend. As part of the registration students have to provide work samples. The brief for this is on the Blitz website.

There will be experienced game developers at the open days with advice and tips on working in the industry. There will also be a tour of the studios where students will be able to see new games being worked on.

The open days run on the following dates:

Just open to second and final year students interested in 2d art, 3d art, animation, audio, game design and programming:

  • Friday 2nd March
