
Masters from the animation world will be in Wolverhampton this weekend. Bill Plympton, Cosgrove Hall, and Aardman will all be gracing Light House with their presence at Flip Festival 2011.
Animators and fans can attend the Flip Festival at Light House, Wolverhampton from Thursday 27th to Saturday 29th October.
Cosgrove Hall created many characters that you know and love, such as Danger Mouse and Postman Pat, to name a few.
Oscar nominated Bill Plympton meanwhile, will be giving a masterclass; talking about his career as an illustrator and animator, with every participant will get a free drawing from Bill himself. The UK premiere of the documentary film Adventures in Plymptoons! will be screened on Saturday for all Plympton fans to enjoy.
The festival consists of various showcases and talks from animators. Flip is a mix of all things animation and provides experiences for everyone from youngsters starting out, to animators who want the chance to experiment.
AFWM’s sister project, Gamer Camp, will be at the festival with a talk about iPad games development and a demo session. To register for the demo session go to the Gamer Camp website.
Animation Forum West Midlands will be supporting the finale of the weekend at the Festival Shorts Awards Ceremony on Saturday night.
